Meet the Creator:

My name is Becky and I’m the mind and body behind HeartmadeCulture.

I created HeartmadeCulture in 2021. Initially I was just making wire wrapped jewelry, but it’s become more than that.

When I was creating my Halloween collection in October of 2023, I named it “The Raven’s Flight.” The collection was loosely based on Edgar Allan Poe’s, The Raven. I started playing around and I named some of my pieces.

Long story short, I ended up deciding on writing a series about how the raven came to be at the man’s house in the poem while continuing to correlate it with some of the jewelry I make.

And that’s not all- I decided that I wanted to do even more with my jewelry. Jewelry is awesome and pretty- but could we take it a step further? Could it benefit women in other ways, too?

The Story Behind HeartmadeCulture:

HeartmadeCulture was created by Becky Cook in Aberdeen, Maryland 2021. She fell in love with wire wrapping jewelry and wanted to share her art with the world. Her vision for the brand has evolved over time but is has developed into becoming a brand that focuses on making handmade jewelry that inspires women to be bold, be creative, and be adventurous.

Becky wire wraps and wire weaves each jewelry piece by hand, hoping to create unique pieces to remind women that just like each piece is unique, so is each woman. And her struggles. Our struggles are a part of who we are but we also have the ability to push past them to live extraordinary lives. She wants each and every piece to remind women to live boldly, live creatively, and live adventurously.

Not only does Becky want to inspire women through her jewelry, but she wants to create a community of likeminded women to inspire each other and share their dreams and their victories.
